At SOMP, we can manufacture several types of gears (internal gears, spur gears, helical gears, double helical gears, straight bevel gears, worm gears, rack and pinion gears, and planetary gearsets) up to 2 meters in diameter. We also manufacture ferrous and non-ferrous gears depending on their application. In addition, we offer the possibility of repairing gearboxes by replacing broken gears, changing roller bearings and oil seals, and repairing bearing seats of the gearbox housing.
Gear manufacturing is a precise science since it involves many calculations of forces and geometry. For that, SOMP has designed a spreadsheet that takes into consideration the above parameters and results in a precise calculation of module and yields a perfect replacement for the original gears.
